Streaming_History_Audio_*.json (Extended streaming history) – or click to choose

What you need

  • A Spotify account (free or Premium) and its login
  • Access to the e-mail address of that account
  • A computer or phone that can unzip files, and a few MB of space
  • Patience: Spotify prepares the data in a few days, at most 30

How do I get my data?

  1. Open Spotify's privacy page

Log in on the website (not in the app) and scroll to “Download your data”.

    Open spotify.com/account/privacy ↗
  2. Request “Extended streaming history”

Tick only “Extended streaming history”. The normal “Account data” export is not enough, it covers just the last year. Then press “Request data”.

  3. Confirm by e-mail

Spotify mails you a confirmation. Open it and press “Confirm”. Without this, nothing is prepared.

  4. Wait for the download mail

A few days later you get “Your data is ready” with a download button. The link works for 14 days.

  5. Unzip and drop the files here

Unzip my_spotify_data.zip. In the folder “Spotify Extended Streaming History” select all Streaming_History_Audio_*.json files and drop them above (several at once is fine, on a phone tap the area). Video files are optional, PDFs and other files are ignored.

Later, with a newer export, upload again: overlapping plays are merged without duplicates. Your files never leave your device.
